We visited 5 countries in this 10 days Europe trip
including the 3 Baltic states and 2 countries:
Estonia (Tallinn)
Latvia (Riga)
Lithuania (Kaunas & Vilnius)
Poland (Warsaw & Cracow)
Finland (Helsinki)

Since we were staying in a hotel
we had our breakfast there in the morning
Then, the plan was going to the Riga Central Market
It is a huge market
with open areas and 5 large pavilions that
sell different categories of products in each of them
including vegetables, dairy products, meats, fish and groceries
The market is very clean compared to many others
but a small tip for everyone
a fee is needed for the toilet entry there

它是个很大的市场
分别有室外地区和5大展馆
每个展馆都卖着不同种类的产品
包括蔬菜类，乳制品类，肉类，鱼类和杂货类
与其他市场相比，这市场相对干净
但是有个给大家的小贴士
那里的厕所是需要入门费的哦
There was a free local tour to join at 11am
so we did not have enough time to finish the visit at the market
and headed to the meeting point at St Peter's Church
There were many tour options to choose from
the one we joined was the Riga Old Town walking tour
with a duration of about 2 hours
The tour guide first introduced himself
and asked where everyone was from
the size of the tour group really depends on
how many people are joining on that day
because there is no reservation required
The tour guide provided us with a lot of information
and full of historical stories during the tour
He also ensured the tour was interesting
by interacting with the tour members
Overall, it's a good tour to understand Riga

The 3 buildings represent different building styles of Riga
in different medieval times
那3个建筑物代表了里加在中世纪
不同时期的各种建筑风格
The sculpture is based on a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm
It is said that touching the donkey's nose will bring you good luck
that's why it's so shiny and the colour changed😅
这雕像是基于格林兄弟的童话故事
据说摸一模驴子的鼻子会带来好运
所以它不只变得很光滑，颜色也变了😅
At the moment the tour finished
our stomachs were hungry
we then walked around and found a restaurant for lunch
It's called Nāk Nakts
The service there was pretty good
although some staffs did not want to serve us
because of not understanding English
The time we visited was summer
so it's good to enjoy beers there in an undercovered open area
without getting sunburn
当团游结束的时候
我们的肚子也饿了
我们在附近走了走找到了一家餐厅吃午餐
那里的服务挺好的
虽然有些员工由于英文不好的关系
不想服务我们
我们是在夏天的时候到访的
所以那有盖又开放的地区是个享受啤酒的好地方
也可以避免被太阳晒伤

After eating
we checked in to an Airbnb property in the Old Town

and this is the link of the penthouse we stayed at
it's large property decorating with luxury furniture
and it can accommodate up to 8 people
the only inconvenient feature
is how it has no lift but split levels
so we had to carry our heavy luggage through the stairs

After we settled down with the luggage
we headed back to the Central Market again
to buy some fruits
You could smell the berries when you just passing by the stalls
we bought some and washed them at the sinks provided behind the stalls
The strawberries were really sweet
and I am missing them so much
我们把行李安顿好后
便又再到中央市场去
买了一些水果
单单经过摊位便可以闻到莓果的味道
我们买了些然后在摊位后的洗手盆洗了洗
草莓非常的甜
还真令人难忘

During the "night"
we were waiting for the sky to turn dark
in order to see the beautiful lightings
especially the bridge
However, it was still bright at late night
and we were quite tired
so no luck to see it
“晚上”的时候
我们本来是在等天黑
去看那些漂亮灯饰的
尤其是桥那边
但是天空直到夜晚依然很亮
而且我们也挺累的
所以没看着
