It was a short getaway
to enjoy the winter at Snowy Mountains
where we have been hoping to visit
since last year
那是个短暂的出游
在雪山上享受冬天
我们自从去年
便一直想到访那里

Before the trip

it took us a while to figure out

how to organise it

As it was our first time visiting there

we were not too sure about many stuff

At first

some friends recommended us to join a tour

so we looked up many websites

and contacted the travel agents

but either nothing matched the dates

we planned to go

or the tour was sold out ages ago

So here's a tip for everyone:

If you are planning to go to the Snowy Mountains

during winter

please try to organise it by April

弄清楚要怎么安排行程
因为那是我们第一次到那边去
有很多东西是我们不清楚的
一开始
有些朋友建议我们参加旅游团
所以我们找了好几个网站
然后联络了些旅行社
但不是日期跟我们要去的日子
对不上
就是旅游团早就被订满了
所以这里有个给大家的贴士：
如果你们想在冬天的时候去
悉尼雪山
请在4月份以前计划好

Since there was no tour for us

we then changed the plan to driving

It was a long drive for about 6 hours

from Sydney to Snowy Mountains

and Canberra is on the way too

For your information,

there are a few resorts in the Snowy Mountains

Thredbo and Perisher

are the 2 most popular resorts

The one we went to was Perisher

由于没办法参加旅游团
我们便把计划改成开车去
从悉尼到雪山去
是个6小时长的长途车
堪贝拉也在途中
供你参考的是
雪山上有好几个度假胜地
Thredbo 和 Perisher
是2个最出名的胜地
而我们去的是Perisher

To drive to the destination

there were 2 options:
开车到目的地
有2个选择：

1. Driving up to the resorts on snow

but it is recommended to use

4 wheel drive cars with chains (necessary)

and there are limited car parks

A car entrance fee for the National Park is required too

1. 把车开到雪山上的旅游胜地
但是建议用4轮驱动的车与防滑链（必须）
而且那里的停车位有限
车子进入国家公园也是要付入门费的

2. Driving to Bullocks Flat

and take ski tube up to the snow

The overnight parking at Bullocks Flat is free

and you will need to buy the ticket to take ski tube

One return ticket costs $84

suggest booking in advance with a discounted rate

2. 把车开到Bullocks Flat
然后搭雪山列车上山
在Bullocks Flat隔夜停车是免费的
然后必须卖乘搭雪山列车的票
一个往返票价是$84
建议提前以折扣价预订

We chose the second option

as we did not have a 4 wheel drive car

and did not want to risk to drive on snow

without any experience

Before arriving,

we stopped by a lovely shop

that sells Christmas gifts and decorations

we were amazed by the exterior of the shop

and again surprised when we got in

It's called Christmas Barn

You could literally find anything for Christmas there

like any type of Christmas tree that you like

you can design your own ones

We were actually thinking

to bring Christmas hats with us

up to the mountains

because that's the time we have snow in Australia

and we could celebrate Christmas in winter

However,

we could not find any in Sydney

as it was not the actual Christmas period

it was so lucky that we found this shop on the way!

And YES

we bought the Christmas hats

在雪地上开车
在抵达以前
我们中途在一家可爱的店停留
它卖着圣诞礼物和装饰
我们是被店面的外观所吸引的
进店里的时候又再次惊讶了
店名叫Christmas Barn
你真的可以在那里找到所有圣诞节需要的东西
比如你喜欢的任何圣诞树

你都可以设计自己想要的
我们其实之前有想过
要带着圣诞帽
上雪山去
因为那是澳洲有雪的时候
所以我们可以在冬天庆祝圣诞节
然而，
我们在悉尼根本找不到
因为并不是真正的圣诞季节
我们在途中找到这家店确实很幸运！
是的
我们买了圣诞帽

After that

we stopped by an information centre

to double check that

we did not need any chain

to drive to the Bullocks Flat

and the roads were not close

as some people actually said

there might be a chance

when the weather is bad

and there will be snow at Bullocks Flat

Anyways

Cooma Visitors Centre

is worth to go for a visit

Then

we finally arrived at the Bullocks Flat

A tip that we got from the visitor centre:

try to park your car in the middle section

where there are many cars surrounding

because the overnight carpark

is without cover

and you will never know

when there is strong wind

which might get stones to scratch your car

从游客中心得到的一个贴士：
尽量把车子停在中间部分
让其他车子包围着
因为那隔夜停车场
是没有盖的
然后你不会知道
石头很有可能在
有强风的时候刮花你的车子

We got our rented ski gears at the Bullocks Flat too

The package we booked

was for the second day to join a lesson at Blue Cow

but the ski gears collection point

was at Bullocks Flat

so we got them one day in advance

Bringing our luggage and ski gears

we headed up to the valley

by ski tube

Please ensure you check online before

taking ski tube

because there is a certain time

when you cannot bring the luggage in ski tube

due to the peak hours

是在第二天的时候在Blue Cow上课的
但是滑雪装备的取点
在Bullocks Flat
所以我们就提前一天拿了
带着我们的行李箱和滑雪装备
我们乘搭雪山列车
前往山谷

请在乘搭雪山列车前
先在网上查询
因为他们有一些时间
是规定不能带行李上雪山列车的
原因是繁忙时间

We took the ski tube to Perisher Valley

where our hotel located

named Marritz Hotel Perisher

it was a lovely hotel

all the staffs were so friendly

and they all remember your name!

We booked a Deluxe room

where the beautiful snow view

was just right in front of our window

How I wish I could wake up

with the view every morning

The hotel room package

came with buffet breakfast and

three-course dinner

Many facilities are available as well

such as swimming pool, snooker,

sauna, kids play area...

We were greeted at the Ski Tube Perisher Station

by a hotel staff

and he brought us to the hotel

with an on-snow vehicle (not sure what it's called)

even though there is only like 5 mins walking distance

It is good to have the transportation

especially when you have the luggage with you

because it is quite hard to walk in the snow

位于那里
那是一家很优雅的酒店
员工们都很友善
而且他们都会记得你的名字！
我们订了一间豪华房
漂亮的雪景
就在我们窗口的正前方
我多么希望我天天起床时
就可以看到这个风景
酒店房间的配套
是带自助早餐和
三道菜的晚餐（正式西餐）
那里也有许多设备
比如游泳池，桌球，
桑拿，儿童游乐区。。。
一位员工在Perisher雪山列车站接待我们
然后用一辆雪上交通工具（不知道它的名称）
载我们到酒店去
虽然走路的距离也只要5分钟
有那个交通还是好的
尤其是当你带着行李的时候
因为在雪上确实挺难走路的
