including the 3 Baltic states and 2 countries:

Estonia (Tallinn)

Latvia (Riga)

Lithuania (Kaunas & Vilnius)

Poland (Warsaw & Cracow)

Finland (Helsinki)

This was another day for a long road trip

We were travelling from Riga to Vilnius

on a private bus tour again

but this time was to explore

the countryside of Latvia and Lithuania

又是坐长途车的一天

我们又再乘搭私人旅游团的巴士

从里加开往维尔纽斯

这次探索的地方

是拉脱维亚和立陶宛的周围

Our first stopover was at Salaspils Memorials Ensemble

It was a police prison and labour correctional camp

of National Socialistic Germany

between 1941 and 1945

The memorial creates a symbol

of the border between life and death

with a 100 metre-long concrete wall

and seven concrete sculptures

representing different meanings

我们在中途停留的第一个地方是萨拉斯皮尔斯纪念园

它在1941年和1945年间

曾经是德国国家社会主义

的警察监狱和劳改营

这纪念园以100米长的混凝土墙

和7个代表不同意义的混凝土雕像

象征着生与死的边界

represents a mother who protects the kids

The second stopover was at Rundale Palace and Garden

It is the largest and most famous palace in Latvia

The tickets to visit the garden

and the ground floor of the palace

were included in the tour

However, there would be an additional fee

to visit the palace rooms upstairs

Please make sure you have enough time

to visit the whole palace

before paying for the tickets

There was not enough time for us to do so

so we did not get a chance to visit upstairs

它是拉脱维亚里最大和最出名的皇宫
参观花园和皇宫底层的票
已包含在我们的团游配套
但是参观楼上的皇宫房间
是需要额外费用的
在购买入门票前
请确保您有足够的时间
把整个皇宫参观完

我们当时并没有足够的时间

所以我们错失了参观顶楼的机会

After visiting 2 destinations

We were brought to Audruvis Restaurant to have lunch

and that was when we arrived in Lithuania!

The tour guide had given us the menu before

to pre-order the food

So that the food would be ready when we arrived

The environment of the restaurant was very good

You could see some horses out at the nearby field too

Food was nice and in big portion

Highly recommend!

导游在之前就先把菜单

给了我们预定餐点

以便让我们在抵达餐厅的时候

可以马上享用食物

这家餐厅的环境非常好

可以看见附近草原上有些马

食物也挺好吃的而且很大份

非常推荐！

After lunch, we continued our journey to Hill of Crosses

It is a small hill with lots of crosses in different sizes

No one knows exactly how many crosses are there

because the number of the crosses are increasing every day

Not all of the crosses there are related to funeral

some of them were put as blessings

for weddings or other purposes

We saw travellers bringing their own crosses there as well

It was an interesting place to visit!

午餐后，我们继续我们的旅途来到了十字架山

那是个放满许多不同大小十字架的一个山丘

没有人知道那里总共有多少十字架

因为十字架的数量天天都在增加

那里的十字架不是每个都跟葬礼有关

有些十字架是为了给婚礼或其他的祝福

而被放置在那里的

我们也见到了许多游客带着自己的十字架到那里

是个非常有趣的观光地哦！

The last stopover before we arrived at the hotel
was the second largest city in Lithuania - Kaunas
Nothing really much to note at this place
but it's a good place to stop for a long road trip
we went to the toilet and got some coffee
在我们抵达酒店之前的最后一站
是立陶宛的第二大城市- 考纳斯
这地方没什么可以做的
但就是一个可以在长途旅游中停留的好地方
我们去了厕所和买了些咖啡
