Kiama Trip (1st Post)

It was just a short half-day trip to Kiama
due to what happens with Covid-19 pandemic
we were just planning to drive somewhere
and only alight if it is not crowded
The weather of the day was not great
but we really needed to getaway
and it did not bother us to fall in love with Kiama
那是一趟半天的凯阿马之旅
由于新冠病毒疫情关系
我们只是想要开车到某个地方
并且只在不多人的情况下才打算下车
当天的天气并不怎么样
但是我们真的很需要外出度假
而且不好的天气并不影响我们爱上凯阿马

We departed early morning at 5am
in order to avoid traffic and the crowd
It took us about 2 hours to arrive Kiama
It might be quicker if you depart from Sydney CBD
Kiama is a beautiful seaside town on the NSW South Coast
It is a perfect place to visit during summer
为了避免交通堵塞与人群
我们在早晨5点钟就出发了
大概用了我们两小时的时间抵达凯阿马
若从悉尼市区出发也许会快一些
凯阿马是个位于新南威尔士南海岸的漂亮沿海小镇
绝对是夏日最佳旅游之地



We first went to a cafe to have breakfast
It's named Wild Patch Cafe
The environment of the cafe was very nice
and the food and coffee was average
Many people ordered take away coffee there
since 7am in the morning
There are actually quite a few cafes around the area
and they all get busy during the day
我们先到一家咖啡厅享用早餐
它的名叫Wild Patch Cafe
这咖啡厅的环境很不错
食物和饮料一般
自早上7点起
就有好多人在那里点了咖啡外卖
周围其实也有好几家咖啡厅
他们纷纷都挺忙的

Across the cafe, there is a Post Office
which is under NSW Heritage Register
We walked around the surroundings
and went to the Kiama Lighthouse
Nothing really special about the lighthouse
since it is pretty similar to the others
However, there is a Kiama Blowhole
just next to it
It is the largest in the world
and its plumes of water recorded at heights of over 30 metres
isn't it cool?
There is also a Kiama Rock Pool
along the coast
and there are a few seaside cabins nearby for accommodation
Not too sure if rental for a night is allowed
but we saw a leasing sign saying
there are options of 1,2, and 3 bedrooms cabins
在咖啡店的对面有家邮政局
是新南威尔士州遗产之一
我们在附近逛了逛
然后到凯阿马灯塔去
灯塔没什么特别的
毕竟大部分的灯塔都长得差不多
然而，在灯塔旁
是世界上最大的
记录下来的水柱高度超过30米
是不是很酷呢？
沿海往下走
它的附近也有些海边小屋
不是很确定有开放出租吗
但我们有看见牌子上写着
那里分别有一房，两房和三房小屋

After that, we went to have a look at the Kiama Surf Beach
Since the weather wasn't good enough
we didn't swim or stay long
but we can tell it is a clean beach
and there would be so much fun 
for a nice summer weather
之后我们便到凯阿马冲浪海滩去看看
由于天气不怎么好
我们并没有下水游泳或久留
但是看得出那里的海滩是非常干净的
绝对是个夏日好天气的好去处

It's just soooo beautiful！
这也太漂酿了！

As there was nothing much to do for the cloudy weather
we went back to the lighthouse area
and picked a beautiful spot to lie down on our picnic mat
The ocean just right in front of us without any blocking
and we could hear the wave sounds
What a relaxing morning!
因为在气候不好的情况下并没有什么可以做的
我们便回到灯塔区域
然后选了一个好位置摊开野餐毯子躺下
海洋就在我们面前，没有任何遮挡物
听着海浪声
那是个多么令人享受的早晨啊！

Even though the weather wasn't great
the view was still magnificent
虽然天气不好
景色依然很壮观



When it's lunchtime
we went to the main street to look for a nice Fish & Chips shop
the street was busy during lunchtime
after we finally parked the car
we picked a restaurant with nice outdoor seats
(to have better ventilation and avoid being too close to the crowd)
and their food was not bad
the name of the shop was Saltwater Cafe
当午餐时间到来
我们去了主街寻找好吃的Fish & Chips (炸鱼和薯条）
街道在午餐时间是繁忙的
我们在好不容易找到停车位后
选择了一家有室外座位的店家
（为了有更好的通风和避免太过靠近人群）
他们的食物很不错
店家的名字是 Saltwater Cafe

Seafood Platter for two
and we swapped the Coleslaw to Garden Salad
and got Sweet Potato Chips instead of the normal chips
两人的海鲜套餐
我们把凉拌卷心菜跟田园沙拉替换了
然后把马铃薯薯条换成了红薯薯条



We returned to Greater Sydney after lunch
That's all for our half-day Kiama Trip
