I always wanted to visit East Malaysia
since I grew up in West Malaysia
With the limit of my annual leave,
I managed to plan a 2-day visit at Kota Kinabalu (KK)
因为我是在西马长大的,
所以一直都很想去看看东马
由于我的年假有限,
我只安排了2天的亚庇行程
Date.日期：12 ❤️ 03 ❤️ 2019
We arrived KK around 3:30am due to the flight
The airport was pretty quiet
but luckily the mobile service shop was open
so we could buy a SIM card to use the internet
Digi has always been my favourite brand
for mobile plans in Malaysia
while other popular telecommunication companies
include U Mobile, Celcom, Hotlink, and Maxis
Other than the 2 days at KK,
we would be in Malaysia for around 2 weeks,
so we got a 2 weeks travel plan from Digi
With the price of RM40,
it covered 10 GB data,
60 minutes call for included countries and so on…
因为飞机航班的关系,我们在凌晨3.30就抵达亚庇了
在那个时间的机场挺安静的,
但幸好电讯店是开的
我们便可以买电话卡以方便上网
Digi一直都是我最喜欢的马来西亚电讯品牌
其他出名的电讯公司包括
U Mobile, Celcom, Hotlink 和 Maxis
除了在亚庇的这两天,
我们会在马来西亚待大约2个星期,
所以我们以40令吉的价格
跟Digi买了2个星期的旅游配套
它覆盖了10GB网络，60分钟电话到包含国家等等
After securing the communication method,
we downloaded Grab Application for our transportation
Similar to the well-known transport application – Uber,
Malaysians use Grab to get a ride from a place to another

我们下载了Grab应用程序以便于我们的交通
相似于知名的交通应用程序-Uber，
大马人都乘搭Grab到目的地

Despite the invitation from taxi drivers at the airport,
we travelled with Grab to the hotel
The hotel we booked was the Qbic Hotel
it is also known as Qlio Hotel
(not too sure why it has 2 names)

a budget hotel but very comfortable
The staff assisted us to store the luggage
and processed the paperwork after 6am
as it was still too early to check in for the night
虽然在机场有计程车司机问我们需不需要载送，
我们还是选择了乘搭Grab到酒店去
我们订的酒店是Qbic Hotel
它也叫Qlio Hotel
(不确定为什么它有两个名字)

是个廉价酒店但也很舒适
员工帮我们储存了行李
再于早晨6点后办理手续
因为当时对于入住来说还太早

Since the air was so fresh in the early morning,
my original plan was to go to Mount Kinabalu
with Grab before sunrise
However, we failed to get a Grab
Due to the low price offered from Grab Application
no driver was willing to accept the ride
We contacted the driver who drove us to the hotel
and she offered the price of RM300
while it was only RM90 stated in Grab
The reason was because
Mount Kinabalu was about 3 hours away
and the drivers might not be able to find a return passenger
由于早晨的空气很清新，
我本来的计划是想趁日出前
但是，我们根本搭不到Grab
因为Grab应用所开的价格太低了
没有司机是愿意接受载送的
我们联络了那位载我们到酒店的司机
然后她开了300令吉的价格
而Grab里显示的只需90令吉
原因是因为
京那巴鲁山大约是3小时的路程
司机们未必能找到需要回程的乘客
Seeking the advice from the hotel receptionist
and information online,
we figured out another way to go to the Kinabalu Park
With a 10-min walking distance from the hotel,
there is a place called Padang Merdeka/ State Park
Minivans are always available there
With only RM20 per person,
we took a minivan to the Kinabalu Park
Kinabalu Park was just a stop between the route to Ranau
so make sure you let the driver knows that
you need to alight at Kinabalu Park
The minivans operate from 7am to 4pm
but there is no timetable
The driver only departs when
a van is filled with around 8 people
so we were waiting for a long long time...
We recommend renting a car at KK
if your trip is for more days

我们找出了另一个去京那巴鲁公园的方法
从酒店走路10分钟的距离，
有个地方叫独立广场
那里一直都有小型巴士
以每人20令吉的价格，
我们搭乘了这小型巴士到京那巴鲁公园去
京那巴鲁公园是到兰瑙路途之间的其中一站
所以请确认你让司机知道
你需要在京那巴鲁公园下车
小型巴士从早上7点营运到下午4点
但是它没有所谓的时间表
司机只会在巴士大约有8人的时候出发

After 2.5 hours of travelling time,
we finally arrived at the Kinabalu Park
It costs RM3 per person to enter the park
and the ticket for the botanic garden
is RM4 for Malaysians and RM5 for foreigners
We dined at a restaurant named
Liwagu Restaurant for our lunch
The dining atmosphere was nice
and the service was great
but we always know how high
a tourist attraction charge for the food price
and the taste never meets expectation…
There is also another buffet restaurant in the park
but it only operates at a certain time
We were just strolling around after lunch
To be honest,
there was nothing too exciting over there
If you are passionate about hiking,
you may look on the website
to find a proper hiking package
which usually takes days to finish
Unfortunately, we cannot participate in hiking this time
because of our schedule
Many people also recommend
visiting a farm near to the mountains
so you can add this destination to your plan
if you are visiting KK 😊

我们终于到了京那巴鲁公园
公园的入场费是每人3令吉
而进入植物园的入场票是
马来西亚公民-4令吉，外国公民-5令吉
我们在一个名叫
Liwagu的餐厅享用午餐
那里的气氛很好
服务也不错
但是我们都知道
一个旅游景点的食物价格有多高
而且味道从来都没有达到理想中的标准...
在园内还有另一个自助餐餐厅
但它只在特定的时间营运
我们吃饱后就在附近漫步
老实说，
那里没什么有趣的
如果你对爬山很热诚的话，
你可以在网络上找
真正的攀岩配套
一般是需要几天的时间的
很不幸地，因为行程的关系
我们这次没办法参与爬山
还有很多人也推荐
一家在山附近的农场
所以如果你也想去亚庇的话
不妨考虑把这个目的地加入你的计划里😊

Finishing our long day at Kinabalu Park,
we returned to KK by the minivan
with RM20 per person as well
For your information,
you may wait at the park entrance
to get a return ride from 2pm onwards
but I will suggest you tell the driver in the morning
that you need a return trip
because most of the drivers depart from Ranau
and may not stop over at the park
结束了我们在京那巴鲁公园很长的一天，
我们乘坐小型巴士回到亚庇
也是以每人20令吉的价格
供你参考，
你可以在公园入口于下午2点以后
等待回程的巴士
但我还是建议你在早上的时候
就先跟司机说声你需要回程
因为大部分的司机都在兰瑙出发
然后未必会在公园那里停下
When we arrived at the Qbic Hotel,
it was already 5pm
It was good that
we had a lovely room to rest before dinner

还好我们在晚餐前
有个温馨的房间可以休息

There is a famous Durian Market near the hotel
I thought we could just taste some durian
and ate somewhere else at a restaurant
but there was no need to do that
There were also many street foods
selling at the Durian Market

it cost us RM110
pretty expensive with the price of RM65/kg
To calculate exactly,
it was RM10 per piece 😅

每粒榴莲要10令吉😅
Stir-fried radish cake
(also called "Char Kueh" or "Cai Tao Kueh")

People call this food in several names
like Murtabak, Apam Balik, or Min Jiang Kueh (Chinese)
It's like a pancake
and it has a thick or thin version
I personally prefer the thin crispy version
with peanut filling

有厚或薄的区分
我个人比较喜欢又薄又脆的
一般有花生内陷

In Asia countries,
people say durian is the king of the fruit
while maggosteen is the queen of the fruit

Along with the walk,
we found out there is a Waterfront Seafood Night Market
As we were already full
with the food from the Durian Market,
we decided to dine at the seafood market
on the second night

随着步伐，
我们发现那里有个滨水海鲜夜市
由于我们已经在榴莲夜市吃饱了，
我们决定在第二晚
才到海鲜夜市去吃
